Airing Thursdays during Local 4 News (WDIV-Detroit) at 5 p.m. and then on this website, The Heart of Detroit shares inspiring stories of metro Detroiters. Follow Mitch Albom as he profiles unsung local heroes who make others less hungry, less troubled, less impoverished or just a little happier.
Each show will be re-broadcast Sunday mornings, immediately following Flashpoint with
Devin Scillian at 10 a.m., also on WDIV-Detroit.
"I have been taught that giving is living, I see so many people in metro Detroit who live - and give - that way, but are never celebrated the way we do a rock star, actor, athlete or even a reality show figure."
-- Mitch Albom
